About The Redwood Theatre

The Redwood Theatre has been a home for live music and performance in Toronto's east end since we opened our doors. What started as a single room with good acoustics and a stubborn belief that artists deserve a fair deal has grown into a venue known for intimate shows, honest ticket prices, and a community that keeps coming back.

Our team is small on purpose. The people booking the shows are often the same people you'll see at the door or behind the bar. That's by design — we'd rather stay close to the room than grow past the point of knowing it.

The Room

We hold about 400 people standing, fewer when we bring in seating for an acoustic night. The floor is flat in front of the stage and steps up toward the back bar, so there isn't a bad spot in the house. Reserved seating and a small balcony are available for select shows — check the ticket options on each event page.

The Neighbourhood

We're right in the middle of Leslieville, a stretch of Toronto's east end that's equal parts old warehouses, new coffee shops, and the kind of independent restaurants that don't need a sign to draw a line-up. Get here early and make a night of it — most of our regulars do.
